The Childcare facility for Anadarko Petroleum Company services the up and coming Anadarko Campus in the Woodlands, TX. This is the first project that I was part of the design team from the beginning. Under the direction of the design and technical leaders in my studio, the project team designed and documented a 50,000 square foot facility to serve the staff of Andarko for 400 children.

 

The project was very visible from the highway and would be one of the major sights off of the highway since it had to sit above Lake Woodlands, a man made lake/detention pond serving the Woodlands business district. The project had to sit above the water so as not to reduce the detention capacity of the lake and still maintain the look of the Class A buildings it would be attached to.
